Dear Friends-

Friends-I know we are all getting blown up with emails at the moment but I wanted to reach out. We are all experiencing something right now- stop and consider that, just about every person on this planet at this moment is being affected by this situation. That's big. That's collective. Our reactions are ranging anywhere from the realm of irritation and misbelief in the reactions to fear and overwhelm for what is happening and the many unknown factors. I invite you to bring some awareness to how you are feeling right now, validate those feelings, they are yours, they exist, they are honest and thus deserve your attention. I also invite you to assess whether your feelings are helpful or not, both to yourself and the planet as a whole (which is so strongly connected at this moment). What are you feeding this world right now?

Mindfulness teaches us to bring nonjudgmental awareness to what is, this is a great time to practice. Thus, I am not telling you to disown your thoughts and feelings to be a superhero. Frankly I don't think we need superheroes right now as much as we need love, kindness, compassion and peace. Thus, how can you invite some love, kindness, compassion and peace into your life right now? Start with yourself and know that every action is fed back into this planet, even if it is "just" to yourself. Think about it, if we all quarantine we will kill (or limit) the spread of this virus... this is an individual act that is being done collective to create universal benefits. The same results can be achieved through acts of love, kindness, compassion and peace. Now is not the time to underestimate how much can be achieved through singular actions and attitudes.

I would like to think that the reaction of the world right now is proactive, taking measures to prevent further spread even at the sake of progress and economy, because ultimately humanity is more important than progress. This is brave. This is disrupting everything we know and putting us all back in our homes, with our families, holding onto what matters most (and that is not toilet paper). This is giving us all an opportunity to really assess things: what is no longer working for the greater good, what needs to be worked and what really just needs to be thrown out. Whether you are shaken or not by what is happening, it is big and is deserving of our attention and consideration. This is a time to take care, not just with hand sanitizer but with moments to stop and settle in. Be here, right now, and breathe. There is a lot happening and I'm sure many of you feel it in a variety of ways. Take time, moments even, to collect yourself and feel into yourself. Be aware of the greater picture, but come back to your home, your body as often as possible so that you don't float away with things that you cannot control. Do what you can and trust that that is enough.

I am here- if there is anything you need, be it an email or phone call or video chat, please just reach out.

Love to you,

Chelsea

(sang·guh)

Here we are again with this important reminder to connect. Sangha is community, the kind that is brought together through a common intention and a willingness to be with each other, present for each other, while we individually work through this intention to create collective change.
(How lucky we are that we live in a time where even in quarantine we can still be together, connect and hold space.)

Over the next two weeks I will be holding mindfulness sessions that are open to anyone and everyone...

I will be sharing the invite to EVERYONE. If you feel compelled, want to connect, need to ground I welcome you to join. Bring a friend. I hope we can all use this space to feel safer in our own skin and remember that we are not alone. They will be 30-45 minutes in length, just enough to come together, sit and practice.

Below are the list of dates and times, as well as links to join.
If you have not used Zoom then I highly recommend clicking any of the links below and checking out how it all works before the actual session. All you need is solid internet connection. You can connect with phone or computer, though computer is better. If using a phone you need to download the app, if using computer it'll just route you through the website. Please note, all times are EST (GMT-4 due to Daylight Savings Time). Of course, just reach out with any questions.

When I was a kid my mom would occasionally refer to me as a Reverend, because I had the need to speak so passionately about just about everything. Little did she know that some day I would build a business upon sharing the wisdom that I am so passionate about. So here you go, here are some bits and bobs of thoughts strung together for your enjoyment.
