7/14/2015 0 Comments Understanding ChallengeIt can be incredibly easy sometimes to question and doubt exactly where you are right now. "Why is this happening to me?" is one of the best ways to beat yourself up in an already troubling time. Hard times aren't going to be easy, that is the point. They are the perfect opportunity to see where your head is at- do you launch immediately into self-doubt, fear or victimization mode? Do you look around and see how "easy" everyone else seems to have it, constantly questioning "why me?" Stop questioning why you are there and start questioning why you are questioning it in the first place. Why are you reacting this way? Is it helping you move forward?
People typically work with me because they want to clear out all of these troubling times from their system so that they can move on with their lives with a free and easy life. But that isn't the point. The point of the work that I do is to help individuals remove all that is limiting them so that they can move on with their lives and experience more of it. There is a massive difference between being limited by the hard times, and not experiencing them all together. If we are seeking growth we must experience discomfort, otherwise there is no reason to grow. You can't train for a marathon without pushing your limits, becoming short of breath, feeling exhausted and questioning why you are doing it in the first place. The degree of challenge is always a matter of perspective. Yes, training for a marathon is "hard," but accomplishing a marathon is amazing. The greater the challenge, the greater the reward. Upon being born your Soul made the decision that it wanted to go through a whole new life and experience a whole new list of lessons that would help it to grow. Some Souls are really ambitious and want to "learn" a lot, some Souls are quite happy with where they are and can be content with only experiencing a few things in their lives. Regardless, as a positive Soul you have set the intention that you want to evolve, and evolution only occurs when you come upon an obstacle that must be overcome. Your Soul did not come into this life saying, "Oh boy I want this to be really difficult, messy and miserable. I want to be bruised and beat up." Your Soul is positive- looking for opportunities to grow, to challenge itself to evolve to a whole new level. This means that you enter into challenging points of your life not with the intention to be limited, but to evolve and be free from misperceptions that have held you back. That's an incredible opportunity that will only come if you pass through it first- you cannot learn and grow by observing life from the side lines, you must walk the talk. Life isn't "hard" or "easy," it's all an opportunity to grow. Some opportunities are more painful and exhausting than others. The intention isn't to be beat up and bruised, but to pass through, heal, be grateful for all that you've done, and keep going. Sometimes we get so caught up on the path that we lose sight of intention in the first place. I'm asking you to reverse those two roles: focus each and every day on your intention, of who you are and how amazing your life is, let go of the path and how you are moving on it. Keep your head held high, hold your intention close to your heart and keep moving forward. We are all going to get to the finish line some day, Those who train are able to hit the line exhausted, but with their hands in the air and their head held high. Those who don't will hit it crawling with shoulders' slumped and gaze downwards. Both parties made it through the same race.

Chelsea M LathamWhen I was a kid my mom would occasionally refer to me as a Reverend, because I had the need to speak so passionately about just about everything. Little did she know that some day I would build a business upon sharing the wisdom that I am so passionate about. So here you go, here are some bits and bobs of thoughts strung together for your enjoyment. Archives
